Conference of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

In late September, a conference organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held at the site of one of the largest universities in Russia, South-Russian State Technical University named after M.I. Platov in Novocherkassk. The topic was: "The standardization, accreditation and conformity assessment: new law and practice." The conference brought together experts from different cities and regions, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology, Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, other federal agencies, the RUIE, business executives, businessmen and legislators. Quality director of StankoMashStroy visited the conference as an expert.

During the plenary sessions of the conference, participants heard reports from representatives of various departments and enterprises, including the representative of StankoMashStroy factory, in order to form a general idea of the state of standardization of practice in our country at present. The achievements include an increase in the number of clear regulations and related means of real quality control in all areas of the industry; the shortcomings are – underdevelopment of associated regulations, lack of real practical application of all the provisions of the law and the corresponding standards.

The purpose of these conferences is to solve numerous inconsistencies, develop collaborative solutions and practical steps for application of the new provisions of the law.

According to the CEO of StankoMashStroy Oleg Aleksandrovich Kochetkov, participation in such conferences allows not only to stay in touch with law enforcement practice in the field of Russian standards, but also "to be heard", taking part in the legislative activity.
