Joint development of a spindle unit

"StankoMashStroy" company continues to work at import substitution by increasing the share of components localization for machines, involving more and more Russian enterprises in the production of metalworking equipment.

So, during the year, the specialists of StankoMashStroy have worked at the spindle unit development for the ST25 series machine together with SKF-Russia, which is a subsidiary of the world's largest producer of bearings - the Swedish engineering company. The result exceeded all expectations.

The accuracy characteristics of the manufactured spindle exceeded the original ones and amounted to:

- axial stiffness, with a force of 500 N, - less than 1 μm;

- radial clearance, when a force of 500 N, - less than 1 μm.

The spindle successfully passed all the necessary operational life testing and is ready for installation on the machine.
