Stankomashstroy employee becomes the winner of interregional competition

The results of the VII interregional contest "Computer 3D - Modeling", which was conducted by the Penza Region Regional Development Institute with the support of the Regional Ministry of Education, PSU, PenzGTU, an IT college and industrial city enterprises are summed up. The competition was aimed at involving children and Penza region youth in the innovative activities of the “1000-list-nick”, in the study of modern engineering and modeling technologies used in industry, construction and design.

In a creative competition in the “T-Flex” nomination, Dmitry Shelakhaev, a young design engineer of StankoMashStroy, took part. Participants were asked to create a sophisticated 3D model of the wedge-type valve body in 2.5 hours. Dmitry successfully coped with the task and, gaining the highest score, managed to take 1st place in the age group of 18-25 years. This is not his first victory in the modeling contest. During his studies at school and university, he more than once became the winner in various categories.

“Such activity helps me in my studies - now I am studying the master course and at the same time working in my degree field. Participation in the competition broadens my professional horizons. I look at what you can work on, what are the pros and cons of the programs, who in the region is an expert on a particular program and to whom, in which case you can turn for advice, ”says Dmitry.

He first came to StankoMashStroy three years ago when he participated in WorldSkills CNC turning competitions. After graduating from high school, he chose this very company for employment and there were special reasons for that.

“Machine tools are one of the most complex machines in terms of production, which means that the plant has a high level if it is capable of producing them. In addition, I always liked machines and design work more, therefore, as the opportunity arose, I submitted a resume and was accepted, ”said Dmitry.
