Start of serial production of ST 16K20 machines

StankoMashStroy has launched a full-scale production of 16K20 ST lathes. The machine is a modernized analogue of the Soviet machine 16K20 and can be used in various industries for a wide range of different materials processing operations: grinding and boring cylindrical and conical surfaces; cutting internal and external metric, inch, module, pitch threads; drilling, hole truing, reaming.

A heavy duty cast bed and its hardened, strengthened and polished guides provide professional processing and secure stable operation. High precision bearings are used for the spindle, which provides the ST 16K20 machine with increased spindle unit rigidity and the overall rigidity.

This allows processing of large cutting forces, fully utilizing the drive power. Machines are hi-tech, easy to operate; they also maintain long-term accuracy. heat-treated and ground helical gears of the main spindle improve efficiency, quiet operation, machine durability and smooth shifting.

Manufacture of ST 16K20 machines is carried out by StankoMashStroy within the framework of the import substitution program and contributes to the development of intraregional and interregional cooperation. Localization of domestic parts in lathes 16K20 ST series is from 50 to 58%.
